Life Skills for Children Diagnosed on the Autism Spectrum
An informative presentation by Dr. Teissy Meza, Program Director for the Autism Center at St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital. This presentation will discuss the essential skills parents and teachers can teach and/or support to help each child diagnosed on the spectrum reach his or her potential. The presentation will center on issues of communication, safety, self-regulation, independence, social relationships, vocational concerns and pursuing interests.
