PERFORMING ARTS (and visual arts) FOR CHILDREN, YOUTH and ADULTS with SPECIAL NEEDS!
SHARING THE ARTS is a non-profit performing arts conservatory and organization for children and adults with special needs. The classes, workshops and productions are based on mainstream models, but are adapted to meet the varying needs of the students. Classes are taught by professional artists and qualified teachers who not only know their art-form, but are highly experienced in the area of curriculum development and meeting the needs of individuals with differing needs. Volunteers are used to mentor, shadow, assist or simply add to an environment of inclusivity. Performance opportunities exist for interested students. Sharing the Arts has a conservatory in Hawthorne, NJ and also offers outreach programs.
